Introduction

There are so many good Youtube Videos on Primitive Construction and Survival skills.

Also, many many modern, construction, survival and general how-to videos on Youtube.

Here I will try and share some that I think teach the most simple natural principles of survival, low tech construction, modern DIY construction and make it your self and save money skills.

Some may apply only to wilderness situations, others to perhaps both. Some would meet modern building techniques but offer what I feel is a good cost saving, DIY, Going Green, salvageable materials, etc.

I will also point out bits and pieces of some of these Primitive Stone tools only survival, construction techniques that I feel also should be studied and used but perhaps with modern tools. I will point to one example, A series on primitive construction (youtube)  shows methods of using a sharp stone to cut and work bamboo with very little cutting of effort and knowing how bamboo works and breaks. Another modern survival youtube shows cutting and making the same items with a big steel knife and folding steel handsaw. Because the author of the using steel modern video depends on steel and modern cutting without taking into effect the way bamboo wood grains and fibers break, he does a lot more work with modern tools and makes a much poorer job of it. Here where one would use both the ways the primitive stone worked bamboo was done but with steel instead of stone, one would beat both of these video's efforts and have an easier job of it, plus even better-looking results.

I will also point out what I feel may be unknown, overlooked ideas and methods of doing things. And where possible link comments or examples from other videos that have caused me to have these ideas. As I can, I will try and put theories to the test as best as simple backyard lab can support.

I hope you all find the Blog useful and perhaps thought-provoking while allowing you to enjoy cost saving and DIY skills.

Please, all constructive, well-meaning comments and questions are welcome
